About Shae Bernhardt

I've always had a love for videography and photography, but this passion of mine grew rapidly throughout my high school career. I'm a small-town girl at heart who grew up in Van Meter, Iowa. With a graduating class of fifty-five, I had the opportunity to get involved in anything I found interesting. Along with being a multi-sport athlete, heavily involved in the fine arts and clubs, I found time for content creation.

 

While producing my own YouTube videos, I was tasked with making various videos for my high school. These projects ranged from informational to promotional to fun. I was also given the opportunity to run my school's student section's Instagram and Twitter accounts. This was a great experience that taught me a lot of important skills. I'm a currently junior at Iowa State University with a double degree in Public Relations and Event Management.

I'm a proud member and Chapter President of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. I'm also a member of Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and Cardinal Key Honor Society. My past involvements include the Iowa State University Blood Drive, Homecoming Public Relations Committee, and Residence Hall Leadership.

I also serve as a Peer Mentor in the College of Human Sciences, student ambassador for the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Sorority and Fraternity Community Ambassador. These involvements have taught me time management, communication, and collaboration skills.

 

In my free time I love playing intramurals with friends, reading a book, spending time outside, baking cookies, watching football and traveling!
